THE BLUEPRINT FOR SKILL BUILDING
WHAT IS ABA THERAPY?
At its heart and as a simple way of explaining it, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is simply the science of learning. We look at it as a way to understand why a child does what they do, and how we can use that understanding to help them navigate the world with more ease. While it is a highly respected, scientifically proven, evidence-based therapy, we like to think of it as a bridge—connecting where your child is today with the skills they need for a more independent tomorrow.
Instead of focusing on “fixing” behaviors, our approach to ABA is about opening doors. We break down big, complex goals—like starting a conversation or getting dressed—into small, manageable steps that celebrate every victory along the way.
ABA helps in three key areas:
● Communication & Connection: Helping your child find their voice and share their world with others.
● Life Skills for Independence: Building the confidence to handle daily routines and new environments.
● Meaningful Support: Replacing frustration and challenging moments with helpful tools and positive strategies.

Every child is unique, and ABA is not a “one-size-fits-all” solution. It is a collaborative process between our team and your family, designed to empower your child to shine in their own way. We are here to ensure that as you learn about these strategies, you feel supported, informed, and hopeful about the progress ahead.

THE HEART OF PROGRESS
HOW ABA WORKS
ABA is the science of learning, but we practice it as the art of encouragement. By focusing on your child’s strengths, we help them build the skills they need to navigate their world with more joy and less frustration.
● Building on Wins: We use positive encouragement to celebrate the things your child is doing well, making it more natural for them to use those skills again.
● Small Steps, Big Victories: We break complex tasks into tiny, manageable pieces so your child feels successful and confident at every stage.
● Real-Life Learning: We practice skills where they matter most—during play, at the table, or in the community—so your child can use what they learn in their everyday life.
● Personalized Progress: We keep a close eye on what’s working, adjusting our approach to match your child’s unique pace and personality.
Think of ABA as a toolkit for your child’s independence, designed to help them shine in their own way, one small win at a time.

THE ROAD TO SUPPORT
STARTING YOUR JOURNEY WITH US
Taking the first step toward therapy is a big moment for any family. We’ve designed our process to be as smooth and supportive as possible, ensuring you feel guided from our very first conversation.
1. Diagnosis: The journey begins with a formal evaluation from a specialist. This provides the “key” we need to unlock insurance coverage and build a plan tailored specifically to your child’s needs.
2. Authorization: Once we have a diagnosis, we work with your insurance provider to secure approval for services. Our team handles the heavy lifting here, so you can focus on your family.
3. Assessment: Our clinical team will spend time with your child to understand their unique personality and skills. We look at what they love and where they need a little extra help to create a truly personal starting point.
4. Action: This is where the growth begins! We start our sessions together, using a personalized plan that helps your child build confidence and reach those beautiful “small wins” every single day.
We are here to handle the details so that you can celebrate the progress.

YOUR CIRCLE OF CARE
WHO IS WORKING WITH YOUR CHILD
We believe that the best progress happens when your child is supported by a dedicated team.
At Inclusion ABA, we work together in a collaborative “Circle of Care” to ensure your child’s journey is overseen with both scientific expertise and a personal touch.
Your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
The RBT is the friendly face you and your child will see most often. They are the ones who bring the treatment plan to life during daily sessions. To earn their certification, an RBT must complete specialized training, pass a thorough competency assessment, and clear a national background check. They are trained to be a playful, encouraging presence while carefully following the clinical strategies that help your child grow.
Your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA):
The BCBA is the clinical “architect” of your child’s program. They are master’s-level professionals who design the customized treatment plans, set meaningful goals, and constantly review data to see how your child is flourishing. The BCBA regularly joins sessions to observe, coach the RBT, and make gentle adjustments to the plan so it always matches your child’s unique rhythm.
The Team Approach:
Think of it as a partnership: the BCBA provides the roadmap and expertise, while the RBT provides the daily dedication and heart. Together, they meet frequently to discuss your child’s wins and challenges, ensuring that every hour of therapy is purposeful, effective, and filled with encouragement.

By working hand-in-hand, we ensure that your child is always seen, heard, and supported by a unified team.
