A PATH OF PURPOSE
HOW TO BECOME
A BCBA
Becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is more than a career milestone—it is a commitment to becoming a leader in a child’s journey toward growth. This path requires a blend of advanced academic study and heart-led clinical experience.
Whether you are an RBT looking to grow or a student beginning your journey, here is the roadmap to joining the field as a certified professional.

EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
The journey begins with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, or Psychology. Your coursework focuses on the science of learning and the meaningful “whys” behind behavior.
SUPERVISED FIELDWORK
AT INCLUSION ABA
Theory meets the heart during your supervised fieldwork. At Inclusion ABA, we take pride in mentoring the next generation of clinicians. We offer a supportive environment where you can gain your required hours under the guidance of experienced BCBAs who are dedicated to your professional and clinical growth.
THE CERTIFICATION EXAM
Once your education and fieldwork are complete, you’ll sit for the BACB National Examination. Passing this exam confirms you have the professional knowledge and ethical foundation to lead a care team with excellence.
ONGOING GROWTH
Being a BCBA is a lifelong learning experience. To maintain your certification, you will engage in Continuing Education (CEUs), staying current on the latest research to better serve your community.
BRIDGING THE GAP
A CAREER WHERE YOU ARE SEEN, SUPPORTED, AND CELEBRATED
You may find comfort in knowing that you don’t have to navigate the road to certification alone. At Inclusion ABA, we believe that the transition from student to professional is a sacred time of growth. We’ve built a supportive bridge designed to help you elevate your skills, find your clinical voice, and step into your future with confidence.
