A Day at Inclusion ABA: What to Expect

We want your child to feel comfortable and excited about coming to Inclusion ABA! Here's a glimpse into a typical day, combining elements from both our early learners, ages 2-4 years, and children ages 5-7 programs:

Mornings

Arrival: Your child arrives and settles in. We'll help them put away their belongings and get ready for the day.

Breakfast: We'll enjoy breakfast together with friends and take care of bathroom needs or diaper changes.

Playtime: Your child will choose a room to play in and practice important skills, individualized to their age and developmental level. This might include:

  • Asking for what they want

  • Taking turns and sharing

  • Playing with friends

  • Following instructions

  • Exploring cause-and-effect toys

  • Completing activities at the table

  • Engaging in independent play (coloring, puzzles, etc.)

Circle Time: We'll gather for a fun and engaging group activity. Depending on your child's age and abilities, this might involve singing, games, movement, practicing social skills, taking turns, and answering questions.

Choice and Exploration: We encourage children to make choices and explore different areas within the clinic, fostering independence and a sense of control.

Bathroom Breaks: We'll support your child with bathroom routines and toileting, providing individualized support based on their needs and age. This may include diaper changes, potty training, or encouraging independent bathroom use.

Afternoons

Lunch: Lunchtime with friends! We'll practice table manners, using utensils, and trying new foods (with your input and guidance). We won't force your child to eat anything they don't want to. If you have concerns about picky eating, we can discuss feeding therapy options.

Playtime: More playtime with opportunities to practice a variety of skills based on your child's individual goals.

Special Group Activity: Each day features a different engaging group activity, such as: sensory play, motor movement, arts and crafts, music, and motor movement.

Home Time: We'll help your child gather their belongings and get ready to go home.

We strive to create a fun, supportive, and engaging environment where your child can learn and grow. Our approach is individualized to meet each child's unique needs and developmental level. If you have any questions about our daily schedule or activities, please don't hesitate to contact us!
