2. Information Gathering:
Once you've connected with us, we'll gather some initial information about your child, including:
-
Your Contact Information & General Information About Your Child
-
Age and diagnosis: We primarily serve children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but we may also work with children with other developmental needs.
-
Current challenges and goals: What are your primary concerns about your child's development? What skills do you hope to see them improve?
-
Insurance information: We'll check your insurance benefits to determine coverage for ABA therapy.
3. Insurance Authorization for Assessment:
Before proceeding with a comprehensive assessment, we'll work with your insurance company to obtain pre-authorization. This step ensures that the assessment is covered by your insurance plan. We'll handle the necessary paperwork and communication with your insurance provider.
4. Schedule an Initial Consultation:
Once we have obtained authorization for the assessment, we'll schedule a consultation with one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This meeting allows us to:
-
Get to know your child: We'll interact with your child to observe their strengths and areas for growth.
-
Discuss your goals in detail: We'll collaborate with you to develop individualized goals and objectives for your child's therapy.
-
Explain our approach: We'll explain how ABA therapy works and answer any questions you have.
5. Assessment and Treatment Planning:

After the initial consultation, we'll conduct a comprehensive assessment to gain a deeper understanding of your child's skills and needs. This may involve:
-
Standardized assessments: We may use standardized tests to assess your child's communication, social skills, and other abilities.
-
Observations: We'll observe your child in our clinic setting to see how they interact with different activities and materials.
-
Collaboration with other professionals: We may collaborate with your child's doctor, therapists, or teachers to gather additional information.
Based on the assessment results, our BCBA will develop a customized treatment plan for your child.

6. Insurance Authorization for Treatment:

Once the treatment plan is finalized, we'll again seek pre-authorization from your insurance company to ensure coverage for the recommended ABA services.

7. Starting ABA Therapy:

With all authorizations in place, we'll schedule your child's therapy sessions. Our clinic-based ABA therapy provides:
-
Structured environment: Our clinic offers a dedicated space for therapy, designed to minimize distractions and promote learning.
-
Individualized attention: Your child will receive one-on-one therapy with a trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under the supervision of a BCBA.
-
Lots of Opportunities for Socialization: We may incorporate opportunities for social interaction with peers, depending on your child's needs and goals.
